- Mar. 2, 2008 - 1:00 pm - Piedmont Biofuels Research and Coop Piedmont Biofuels makes, sells, and markets biofuels within 100 miles of their facility in Pittsboro, NC. Not only do they
make biofuel from recycled vegetable oil, but they also research the most efficient and cost-effective way of using various plants for making biofuels. Our day at Piedmont will begin at 1pm with a tour of the facility to learn more about Piedmont and how they are making biofuels. After the tour, we will spend the rest of the afternoon working at the Coop ourselves doing whatever needs being done around the facility/farm-so make sure to bring your working clothes, we may be getting dirty! (Of course, if you want to leave after the tour, that's no problem at all!)
If you're interested in joining the Triangle Chapter of SCB at Piedmont Biofuels on March 2nd please e-mail Lindsey at lindsey.feldman@duke.edu so that she can let Piedmont know how many people to expect.
